Extracurricular Activities

The school offers extra-curricular activities to its pupils after school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. These activities allow pupils to relax and have fun while exploring new areas of learning. Pupils develop their skills, dexterity, socialisation, self-confidence, creativity, imagination and respect for others.

NB: these activities are also open to children not enrolled at Le Flamboyant.

Arts And Culture

Visual arts (peinture et sculpture) : à l’école pour les enfants de 3 à 11 ans.
African dance : at school, for children aged 3 to 10.
Contemporary dance and ballet : at school, for children aged 3 to 5, 5 to 6 and 7 to 10.
Djembe Percussion : at school, for children aged 4 to 11.
Hip-Hop : at school, for children aged 5 to 12.
Theatre : at school, for children aged 3 to 6 and 7 to 11.
Theatre : at school, for children aged 3 to 6 and 7 to 11 years old.

Sports

Basketball : à l’école, pour les enfants de 5 à 7 ans, 8 et 9 ans, et 10 à 12 ans.
Fencing : à l’école, pour les enfants de 5 à 11 ans.
Football : on the football field of the Hellenic Community of Yaoundé, for children aged 5 to 6 and 7 to 9.
Handball : à l’école, pour les enfants des classes de CE2, CM1 et CM2.
Rollerblading At school, for beginners and advanced riders. Please bring protective equipment (helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards).
Taekwondo : à l’école, pour les enfants de 3 à 6 ans et de 7 à 12 ans.
Tennis : on the tennis court of the Hellenic Community of Yaoundé, for children aged 4 to 10.

Social activities

Board games : à l’école, pour les enfants de 6 à 12 ans.

Additional information

Activities mainly take place on school premises. For sporting activities such as football and tennis, activities take place on fields belonging to the Hellenic community of Yaoundé which is a stone's throw from the school. Children can try several activities for 2 weeks before making their final choice on the desired activities.
Rates for children enrolled at Le Flamboyant:
- 18,000 F CFA par trimestre pour la première activité
- 15,000 F CFA par trimestre pour la deuxième activité
Rates for children not enrolled at Le Flamboyant:
- 22,000 F CFA par trimestre pour la première activité
- 19,000 F CFA par trimestre pour la deuxième activité
Children are only allowed to enter the school at the time of the activity or maximum 10 minutes before.
