The Flamboyant elementary section is made up of five classes:
Mastery of the French language and understanding mathematical concepts are the priority objectives of the elementary school. Curriculum subjects are taught in a cycle, lasting three years:
Cycle 2 , or cycle of fundamental learning, from CP to CE2: in addition to French and mathematics, the program also provides scientific lessons to question the world, artistic lessons (plastic arts and musical education), learning to a living language (see English at school ), physical and sports education and moral and civic education.
Cycle 3 , or consolidation cycle, includes CM1, CM2 and continues in college in 6th grade . Students consolidate their knowledge in all the areas already covered in cycle 2 and discover science and technology, history, geography and the history of the arts.
Our school takes into account the plurality and diversity of abilities of each student. Alongside reasoning and intellectual reflection, the sense of observation, the taste for experimentation, sensitivity, motor skills and creative imagination are also developed.
The complete elementary school program from the French Ministry of National Education can be viewed here . here.
Implemented since the start of the school year in September 2013 and in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of National Education, the complementary educational activities organized at Flamboyant make it possible to overcome the difficulties experienced by a student. They take place in small groups on a theme diagnosed by the teacher and can concern all aspects of school life. They make it possible to provide students with differentiated support, adapted to their needs, to encourage or reinforce the pleasure of learning.
The school year is divided into five APC periods The course of a student admitted to APC is not necessarily annual, their presence in the system ceases at the moment when the teachers consider that the difficulty has been resolved. APC sessions are held before classes start on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:50 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.
